Lots To Do!

Just got done with an insane week... 4 cakes & 1 cupcake order! First I had a wedding at the Plantation Party House in Spencerport. It looked beautiful there - my sister was married there & everything was gorgeous - totally recommend it to any brides! (Plus the staff was super nice!)

I did a 4-tier square cake with offset tiers (love the look). 12", 10", 8", and 6" vanilla tiers all with buttercream filling & frosting. She wanted a drizzled look to the cake, and her color was brown, so I used some milk chocolate & went crazy. 2 silk callalillies on top.
Next was my cupcake order. I did 2 dozen minis - 4 different flavors. 6 are lemon cake, 6 are chocolate, 6 are yellow, and 6 are marble. Some with chocolate & some with vanilla buttercream. Each has a fondant decoration on top.
After this I had a couple birthday cakes... the first was for a golf lover's 50th birthday. So of course a golf cake was needed. 6" & 9" vanilla tiers w/mint chocolate ganache filling & buttercream frosting. Pine trees are royal icing. Hat & flag are fondant.
Next was a sixties-themed cake for a 60th birthday. I had fun with this... the colors & cutouts were so neat to use. She wanted something simple, so we just went with a white background with all sorts of cutouts from back then. These were all made from fondant. The cake is 6" chocolate & 9" lemon with buttercream filling & frosting.

Royal Blue & John Deere

Last weekend I had a wedding to do at the beautiful Belhurst Castle in Geneva. I love that place more & more every time I go! And Carmen, the events coordinator, is so helpful & nice!

Anyways, I did a 4-tier bride's cake. 12", 10", 8", & 6" tiers, all chocolate cake w/chocolate ganache filling & buttercream frosting. Satin ribbon & royal blue buttercream scrolls. Bride provided the monogram topper (which I love!). Everything looked so nice when it was all done.

As a surprise to the groom, the bride ordered him a groom's cake in the shape of a John Deere tractor. He kept saying how he wanted a John Deere topper on the bride's cake, but she didn't... so she thought she'd surprise him with this. So cute! Chocolate cake w/peanut butter ganache filling covered in fondant. Everything is edible!I also did a graduation cake, but deleted those pictures on accident! So hopefully I'll get some soon. I have a ton of stuff for this week, but will be on vacation for the first 2 weeks of August (for anyone thinking about getting a cake then).

I'm happy to announce some new fillings to add to my list!
* Chocolate Mousse
* Oreo Truffle
* Strawberry Mousse
* Maple
* Lemon Cream
Also adding chocolate-covered Oreos to the list of goodies I offer!

Also, we will be having a garage sale sometime in August... probably the last weekend. So if anyone wants to stop by, I plan on having some fresh goodies available for purchase at the sale as well!

Happy 4th!!

Happy 4th of July to everyone! :) Thanks to all the military men, women, and families for serving. :) We appreciate your sacrifice!

We had such a busy weekend (and still going!) with family fun, and tons of awesome food! Of course, I signed up to bring the desserts for our family get together. (What else am I supposed to do?!) And I brought a cake I've been wanting to do - so easy, but so delicious!!

It's a 1/2 sheet cake. 1/2 of the cake is confetti cake (blue & red sprinkles of course!) & the other 1/2 is blueberry cake. Whipped cream frosting & decorated in fresh blueberries & strawberries. Yum!
I also have a new recipe for truffles, so they are now bigger & taste insanely delicious!! They're super addicting, just to warn you! Some of these are flavored with coffee; otherwise they're just dipped in milk, dark, and white chocolate with various toppings.
