It's been a long time (at least it seems like it!) since I've done any cakes. I took off 2 weeks to go away with our church camp & resumed cakes this past weekend. It felt good - I sure missed it!

I started out with a wedding which was just a cupcake tower & some desserts. The couple had gotten married the month before & had a reception later. They had the reception at the Westminster Hall & Chapel in Mendon (Brides: it looked gorgeous, I love it there!!). I made 100 mini cupcakes (some red velvet cake w/whipped cream frosting, some carrot cake w/cream cheese frosting, and some chocolate peanut butter chip cake w/chocolate buttercream frosting). Also made 75 chocolate chip cookie dough balls, 100 chocolate covered strawberries, 96 brownie cups, and 96 truffles.
I also picked up a last minute order for a birthday cake. It was just a small one but I was told she wanted a lot of flowers on it and she wanted it square. So its a 6" square red velvet cake with buttercream frosting (and basketweave on sides). Then I went to town making a ton of fondant flowers in all sorts of colors. I had a lot of fun with it & loved the end result.
